About us
Between 1 April 2025 and 31st March 2026, we redistributed 2,384 tonnes of good-to-eat surplus food.
In real terms, that’s the equivalent of 5.7 million meals (based on 423g per average meal) redistributed to more than 288 charities and community groups across Greater Manchester, East Cheshire and High Peak. As a leading food redistribution charity, FareShare Greater Manchester helps ensure good-to-eat surplus food reaches people who need it most rather than going to waste. We were only able to do this thanks to our brilliant volunteers who donated 23,962 hours of their time to support our operation.
