Food Allocations Coordinator

Our Warehouse operation is a busy one, with a lot of moving parts: you’ll take ownership of the smooth running of the Allocations office, supervising the distribution of surplus food to our Community Food Members.

By working closely with the Warehouse team and our drivers, you’ll help ensure timely, accurate and food-safe compliant deliveries and collections, optimising our income whilst minimising food waste.

To be a success in this role, you’ll need to have experience in a busy office or operational environment, great communication skills, and experience supervising and motivating staff.  You’ll be able to adapt to regularly changing priorities, happy to get involved where needed and constantly reviewing daily targets to keep the team on track.  Ideally you’ll have some experience with volunteers (or have volunteering experience yourself), and/or in the not for profit sector working with disadvantaged groups.

Key information:

  • £25,350 p.a.
  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Permanent contract
  • Office based (M11 2WJ)

Fundraising Lead

You will help us develop relationships with funders and supporters to secure ongoing financial support, build the brands of EMERGE 3Rs & FareShare Greater Manchester and engage more followers to broaden and deepen our positive impact.  You’ll have excellent interpersonal skills, be self-motivated and highly organised, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

You’ll work with the leadership team to develop and implement a fundraising strategy, researching prospective funders and writing funding bids, reviewing initiatives for individual giving, developing strong relationships with existing funders, producing reports for funders and our Senior Team & Trustees, ensuring the timely completion of all required funder administration and liaising with the wider team to deliver campaigns, events and appeals.

Essential experience includes working in a fundraising role, including experience of prospect research, donor outreach and relationship building; raising funds through trusts and foundations; knowledge of using online/digital platforms for fundraising and communication e.g. Just Giving etc.

Key information:

  • £15,210 per annum (pro rated)
  • Permanent contract
  • 22.5 hours per week
